International Day of Happiness (March 20) – Happiness Begins with the Small Things in Our Daily Work

Every year on March 20 – the International Day of Happiness, we take a moment to reflect on a simple question: What truly makes us happy?
For many people, happiness comes from family, friends, or everyday moments in life. But for those who spend a large part of their day at work, happiness can also come from the things we do and create every day.
Work is not only a place to complete tasks or achieve goals. It is also where we learn, grow, connect with colleagues, and create meaningful value together.
Not every day is easy. There are tight deadlines, new challenges, and moments when pressure can feel overwhelming. Yet when we find meaning in what we do, those challenges can become motivation to keep moving forward.
Loving our work does not always come from big achievements. Sometimes, it comes from small moments:
- Completing a task a little better than yesterday
- Helping a colleague
- Learning a new skill
- Seeing the results of a team’s collective effort
When these small moments add up, they become the foundation of joy and satisfaction at work.
On this International Day of Happiness, March 20, take a moment to ask yourself: What small thing can I do today to make my work more meaningful and fulfilling?
And we wish that every member of IMV, on their journey of work and career, will always find their own answer to what truly makes them happy—starting from the smallest things each day.
